Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Company Data Guys processes customer data for the public API, dashboard, billing, support, and HubSpot company enrichment app.

Data we process

Account and billing data

Names, email addresses, account membership, authentication events, billing contact details, subscription status, invoice references, and support messages.

API request data

API keys, requested LinkedIn company URLs, request timestamps, response status, billed company counts, cache/live lookup metadata, and operational diagnostics.

HubSpot installation data

HubSpot portal ID, portal domain, installer email where available, approved OAuth scopes, encrypted OAuth refresh tokens, company record IDs requested through the app card, and last app-card activity time.

Enrichment data

Public company-page data such as company name, LinkedIn company URL, employee count, company size, industry, website/domain, follower count, headquarters, and source metadata when available.

How we use data

We use this information to authenticate users, operate the API and CRM integrations, enrich company records, process billing, prevent abuse, debug failures, provide support, improve reliability, and maintain security. We do not sell HubSpot customer data.

HubSpot data flow

The HubSpot app reads a HubSpot company ID and LinkedIn company URL or handle from a company record. It sends the LinkedIn company identifier to Company Data Guys, fetches public LinkedIn company data, and writes the current employee count to a Company Data Guys property on the same HubSpot company record. If future HubSpot features write additional company fields, we will document those fields before enabling them.

AI and model training

Company Data Guys does not use HubSpot customer data, API requests, or enriched CRM outputs to train or improve shared AI or machine-learning models. We do not currently generate HubSpot business summaries with an LLM. If we add AI-generated outputs later, we will disclose the data flow and require appropriate customer permission.

Retention and deletion

OAuth tokens

HubSpot OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest and used only to operate the installed HubSpot app. Revoking or uninstalling the app stops future OAuth access.

Deletion requests

Customers can request deletion of Company Data Guys account, installation, and support data by emailing support@companydataguys.com. Data that already exists in a customer HubSpot account remains under that customer's HubSpot control.

Subprocessors and safeguards

We use infrastructure and business-service providers listed on the Subprocessors page. We use access controls, request validation, encrypted token storage, secret redaction, and operational logging to protect customer data.
